I saw this post on Amaka media's blog, (click here to go to the blog (amakamedia.blogspot.com) ) and i love sharing her posts because i always visualize her jumping and smiling happily while typing the post, i feel the life in her blog posts. That said, i also agreed with the post. a lot of bad happenings lately, if not disagreement at the federal government level, then it's a tanker exploding or an accident or a very unnecessary death caused by mistake. it just seems as if the newspapers never carry good news. so, it's good to hear a good news once in a while.

My heart currently prays for Ghana, Yobe state and Ondo state. This week has been a very sad one. The rate of oil tank explosions, death tolls and disease outbreaks have been on the high. We already know bad things are happening. But it's better to know that good things are happening too. So here, I've got some good news to inspire us. :)

3 Happy News I Found this Week

Out of the thousands of news out there, these 3 shined out enough for me to share. 

1. A couple celebrates the birth of their 100th grandchild

Leo and Ruth Zanger have been married for 59 years and have 12 children. The oldest is 58 years old and the youngest is 31 years old. With the addition of the new baby, Jaxton Leo Zanger, the couple now has 53 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

These are their 12 children. 

They have not only seen their grand children but have also seen their great-great-grandchild. The last time I read about something like this was in the Book of Exodus. Whao! I can only imagine what their family reunion would be like. 

2. An 8 year-old grew his hair for 2 years so he could donate it to a child in need

McPhilamy saw a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital commercial that changed his life forever. He decided to grow out his hair and donate it to the Children With Hair Loss foundation.

After two years of growing out his hair, McPhilamy reached his goal and donated four 10-inch ponytails.

His mother said: 

"He has endured an awful lot of criticism, and yes even bullying, throughout this time. . .from his peers calling him a girl to even coaches and family friends telling him he should cut it or offering him money to."

He did it against all odds. I'm so inspired by him. McPhilamy is a hero!

3. Someone got her first ever endorsement deal with MTN

The 29-year-old singer, Deborah Oluwaseyi who is popularly known as ‘Seyi Shay’ Joshua signed her first ever MTN endorsement deal to become one of its Brand Ambassadors.

Me, I am 'vewi' happy for her. I kinda have a feeling that I'll be signing mine one day too. How about you? ;)

Alrightie, that's it. I like how I get turned on by positive and inspiring news. I'm in high spirits already!

Let's keep doing and being good. For it is assured that goodness will follow us all the days of our lives.

Let me add one last final good news.....i'm alive! yes i am. that's a big news for me now a lot of people are dying. I could be any of those people dying or being injured in an accident, i even missed an accident last week, i could be at the hospital bed with my leg hanging high in the air, i could be bed ridden from severe sickness, i could be suffering tooth ache or ear ache but i'm alive and you too that is reading this post. And i thank God for that because no matter how ugly life gets, once there is life there is hope. You can ask a person that witnessed the civil war.
