MONDAY MOTIVATION: Do good

BE INSPIRED

Happy New week! If it's not starting happy, declare happiness and joy for yourself, yes, you have that power. There lived a man who had financial difficulties. Business wasn't going well, despite how hard he tried. Then came a Sunday, he went to church as usual to worship. During the exhortation, the pastor shared the following scripture; Ecclesiastics 11: 1 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.

BE INSPIRED

Good morning lovelies. Hope you had a lovely weekend? If not, read here . I stay with my younger brother and we both are night crawlers but sometimes sleep overtakes us while waiting for the light to be restored. The light is not static but we know the timelines. And while waiting, we keep busy with our phone doing the little work we can do until light is restored. And whenever we sleep off while using our phones, it's usually till the next morning when the light is off and our battery is dead or flat.

Victorious!

About to leave for work 17/7/17 lol see the date o Good morning dears! Hope the weekend was fantastic?! Lol it's okay if it wasn't. Was it so bad? Are things going terribly wrong or just wrong but still wrong anyways? Is your face contorted in a scowl now or are your facial muscles just tied up in a strong knot? Lol hide not! You are not alone!

MOVING IN THE TUNNEL

Good morning lovelies. Happy New week! Last week I blogged about 'in the tunnel', you can read the post here , and I promised to be back with practical steps of how to move in the tunnel. 'Tunnel is an analogy for tough times’ ‘Light is an analogy for when it becomes better’

SELF CARE IS A DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY

Image source: pin interest You must take care of yourself; spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, both for yourself and for the sake of those around you. If you don’t, it’s either you eventually die or you become toxic to your environment; always giving off violent, depressed, distant, angry and sad emotions and reactions. Stop neglecting yourself because you are chasing your dreams else you won’t catch up to it. Eat well. Sleep well. Rest well. Pray well. Have leisure time that doesn’t involve washing your clothes or studying. Play games too, once in a while. Laugh out loud too, go for medical checkups. Treat illnesses properly. If you don’t, who will? Don’t forget to carry yourself along as you race against life. Give yourself a special treat this week. P.s Though she may not see this, Happy birthday Eby Amanda Pius Urum. You are an inspiration! And one day will be a force to be reckoned with. Love you dear. Any comments? You know what to do. Love ...

FOCUSING ON THE PAST?

Hello guys. So its democracy day and since there's not a lot of democracy in existence or any at all, i thought i might just talk on something else that plagues us both personally and as a country.

DROP THE NEGATIVITY

Happy New Year! Wow, how time flies. It’s 2017 already! Can you believe it?! I remember 2015 like it was yesterday! LOL. Many have New Year ‘projections’, many don’t have. Many couldn’t care less if it’s a new year or an old one. Many care a lot because they hope things turn around for them. But whatever you are feeling or thinking, just drop the negativity in you….the negative thoughts, negative confessions, negative beliefs. However bleak life looks right now, whatever mountain of problems you got going on, whatever worries sleep out of your life, let it go. Open your mind to good things, regardless of what surrounds you, speak positively however hopeless your situation might seem, confess AGAINST the negative, don’t prop it up. Have a positive mindset. Have positive thoughts. Have positive confessions. Have a positive attitude……work hard, drop the procrastination, drop the laziness, drop the comfort for a while, read that book, finally actually study that bib...

THANKFUL FOR HIS HELP

Eshe ibitetibere Eshe ibitebade Adukpe o Jesu Ibite muwa lo My heart is filled with gratitude. At the end of last year, I wasn’t in a good place. There was this heart-gnawing fear. A new phase was coming in my life and the uncertainty of the future just ate me away. My relationship with God was on a zig-zag lane and the downward lane seemed to last for longer periods than the upward. I was honestly so scared about the future. A lot of what ifs.

THREE TIPS FOR DEALING WITH 'STRANGERS'

Image source: Google  Before a person became a friend, he/she was a 'stranger', then maybe an acquaintance before attaining friendship. In life, many circumstances or situations tend to take us away from family and friends that we are so used to and safe around such as NYSC, industrial training, internship, law school, medical school, competitions or even relocation.

THERE'S MORE TO LIFE

Good morning lovelies. Happy new week. It’s been awhile, yea? Law school is quite draining, believe me but God is with me and I’ll surely overcome. I’ll try to be more frequent this time around on the blog and will soon be sending in gists. Tune in on Friday to get fun and not so fun facts about Lagos! Which you may not have noticed. Over to our post *** A lot has placed focus on mundane things, on ‘seemingly’ important things. Many have even drawn back or remained at a fallen spot because much importance was attached to things of little importance. There’s more to life than what we see and think. There’s more to life than our problems. There’s more than our achievements. There’s more to life than a 2:1(second class upper) or an education: I must say that education is important, coming out with good grades are wow. But many at-times we attach all importance to it. If someone fails, we taunt them and call them dullards which they even accept and see them as. If there’s an F in a c...

BUILDING BLOCS FOR 2016

Yes, so while everyone was busy getting gifts and all, I got my books, they stared at me so much that I had to pick them and read and so have I been reading my ass off not because it's not by grace but because work is also needed and the work is heaped for me. 2015 was awesome, for the first time I had "serious" new year resolutions and almost all came through! God is awesome. Cause of lack of time and plus I still being a learner in self discussion, I won't be chronicling my 2015 but I'll keep you guys in the loop tomorrow, sorry next year lol. So over to today's post...permit the length.

SEVEN MISTAKES YOU SHOULD NEVER MAKE

As humans, we are bound to make a whole lot of mistakes in our lifetime. However, here are 7 life threatening mistakes you should never make

TRUSTING GOD

image source: google Trust is not a very welcomed concept in our modern day of science and technology. Trust comes very easily to me when I just meet someone. Even though, I’ve been told not to be quick to trust when I meet someone but I have this policy where I give everyone I meet the benefit of the doubt and trust them with no reservations unless they have some shady corner to them. This trust remains if in the long run it proves worth it. But if the said person does something to discard my trust for them, it takes a lot before I can trust such a person again. The doubt keeps lingering. To some, trust doesn’t come easily. The opposite is the case. When they meet someone, they do not dish out trust till the person does something that warrants creating the trust. Whatever the case or experience, humans are never fully trust worthy. No matter the good heart or good intentions, there is bound to be disappointments along the way. However, with God,  it’s a different ball game. ...
