It doesn’t matter if a million people tell you what
you can’t do, or if ten million tell you no. If you get one yes from God, that’s
all you need.
·
It’s not an easy journey to get to a place where you
forgive people. But it is such a powerful place, because it frees you.

I didn’t have a catharsis for my childhood pain,
most of us don’t, and until I learned how to forgive those people and let it
go, I was unhappy.
Tyler Perry
is an American actor, filmmaker, author and songwriter, all, in the gospel
genre. He’s a lot in one but he didn’t get there easy. He grew up in a dysfunctional
family, his father maltreated him all the time that he at one time contemplated
suicide. He was sexually molested when he was ten years by a friend’s mother
and by others too. His growing up was generally rough. He was inspired by
someone’s talk on how writing can have a therapeutic effect to start pursuing
his career of movie making. Tyler beat the odds and went on to succeed. At
times, he would sleep in his car as he lost everything when he devoted every
single breath to his career. He speaks a lot now about God, forgiveness (which
he said set him free to move forward), dignity, self-worth, love, family etc.
which are reflected a lot in his films. Today, he has a budding career. From
nothing, he climbed to something with God.
Many give
lots of excuses why they don’t turn out well, no money, dysfunctional family, no
job, bad roots, no family, no love or care from anyone. This are all great
excuses, very great and acceptable excuses but they are not enough. People have
gone through worse and emerged at the top, what makes you think yours is worse
and it can’t get better? Have you forgotten that the King of the whole Earth
cares? You can do anything, you can be anything, just get a yes from Him. I
hope to see you at the top with Him as our anchor.
